Joining IACT

IACT is the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists. It is an organisation made up of a diverse group of people including Medical Practitioners, Hypnotherapists, Counsellors, Masseurs and other natural therapy practitioners. It is based in the USA and comprises of groups or "Chapters". There are a number of international Chapters, of which Australia is the latest addition. You can join IACT online or download the membership application and send by post.

To join online, click on the Join/Renew button  which will take you to an online form where you pay by credit card.

They will send you a confirmation email to let you know your fees have been processed and the membership packet should arrive in the mail in a couple of weeks. Your membership number is on your Certificate under your name.

Once you have joined IACT they will give you a link to a discussion board on Yahoo groups and you can participate in international discussions.

To participate in this site you will need to quote your IACT membership number and be approved by an Administrator.

Other requirements to join IACT Australia, to comply with the standards requested by the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia are Level 2 First Aid and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Once you have followed these steps, you can then sign up here for Australian based news, meeting information and interaction with local members.

We also have a Facebook page for Australian members as well as graduates of the Hypnotherapy schools affiliated with this site.

There is a sister organization; The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association and that costs extra. If you are interested working in this field, then joining this association may be of benefit to you.

Members

Past Life Regression & Lives Between Lives Hypnotherapy

Many of our members are not only talented Clinical Hypnotherapists, but offer their clients an opportunity to explore their spiritual side.

All members of IACT are bound by a code of ethics and many of our members are also to be found on the Australian Hypnotherapy Register.

If you are seeking a Past Life Regression Session, the practitioners listed on these pages have studied with reputable training organizations and your soul will lead you to the practitioner most suited to you.

Lives Between Lives practitioners have been trained by the Newton Institute and have undertaken many hours of study and practical application in their training before they can be accredited. A Lives Between Lives session takes several hours, so you will need to schedule your appointment and travel arrangements accordingly.

There are two Member Directories. To the right is the Member Directory where you can find qualified Hypnotherapists offering a variety of specialities.

To the left is a specialized Spiritual Hypnotherapy directory where you can find qualified & ethical Hypnotherapists who offer Past Life Regression sessions and/or Lives Between Lives Hypnotherapy.

Welcome

Welcome to our visitors and new members of the Australian chapter of IACT. We have members scattered throughout Australia and this is an ideal way of keeping in touch.
Rick Morse is President and Peter Smith is Vice President. They have both have done much work in setting up the association here in Australia and liasing with the CCH (now defunct and replaced with HCA) as well as other peak organisations.

You may wish to apply to be listed on the Australian National Hypnotherapy Register.

Further down the page you will find a forum to express thoughts and seek others opinions. Several categories have been created for you and this can be expanded or edited as the need arises.
In the forum, there are sections for general information, hypnotherapy and articles, chit chat, other therapies and the monthly minutes from both the Melbourne and Sydney meetings are posted here as well.

Reading the many articles archived in the forum posts will contribute to your Continuing Education Points.  You can update these on the main IACT site when you log in and if you are a member of other associations, an ideal way to keep your professional learning up to date.
If you know of interesting articles, links, videos you can post them up via a link in the forum. Quite simple, if you can attach a document in an email, then you will be able to add your interesting links and articles for others to see!

There is an updated Chat area for "real time" interaction and this may go part of the way to solve some of our distance problems between members. Keep a look out to see who's online at any time and introduce yourself. Remember to log off when you leave!

There are regular Skype sessions held on Thursday evenings for those who would prefer to chat without typing! Contact Shannon or Liz for details.

Twitter is enabled and you can tick the box on your own page and your comments will be "tweeted" although non members will not be able to access beyond this front page. We now have a Facebook group up and running as well.
